Technical Meeting Held on Developing Textile and Leather Standards

The technical committee meeting for textiles and leather of the National Standards Authority (ANSA) was held in the technical meeting hall of the authority, with the participation of Mawlawi Mohammad Hanif, the Director of National Standards and Building Codes Development and Promotion, along with the chairman and members of the respective committee.
During the session, the initial draft standard for "Performance Specifications for Woven Fabrics" (including warp and weft, knitted, and lace) used for curtains and home furnishings, which was adapted from the ASTM International standards organization, was comprehensively reviewed.
Following technical discussions and the implementation of necessary and beneficial amendments, the document was finalized by a consensus of the committee members.
This standard is applicable to all types of fabrics, with the exception of glass fabrics.
The National Standards Authority remains steadfast in its commitment to enhancing the quality of domestic products, standardizing goods, and ensuring consumer satisfaction.
