The Technical Committee meeting on the development of standards for medical instruments and equipment was convened by the National Standards Authority

The session, attended by Mawlawi Mohammad Hanif, Head of the Department for Development and Promoting National Standards and Building Codes, along with the chairperson of the committee and its members, was held in the authority's Technical Meetings Hall.

The meeting focused on discussions about the standardization of laboratory glassware, specifically single-use serological pipettes. Pipettes are widely used laboratory tools designed for transferring specific volumes of solutions in medical applications. Compliance with these standards is crucial for ensuring accurate solution handling and measurement, thereby preventing errors in laboratory analyses.

Non-compliance with these standards can lead to false results and experimental errors in laboratories, creating significant challenges for the healthcare system, particularly in diagnostic sectors.
