A technical Meeting on the standards of pharmaceutical and cosmetic materials was held at the National Standards Authority

The technical committee meeting on pharmaceutical and cosmetic materials at the National Standards Authority was convened with the participation of Head of the National Standards and Building Codes Development and Promotion Department Mawlawi Mohammad Hanif, the committee chairperson and its members in the technical meeting hall of the authority.

During this meeting, discussions and exchanges of views were held among the members regarding halal cosmetics – general requirements and other related issues. These standards include a set of requirements and criteria designed to ensure the compliance of cosmetic products with Islamic Sharia principles and laws, which are typically developed and overseen by the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC).
