ANSA held an online meeting with the department of Standards Malaysia.

An online meeting was held between Afghanistan National Standards Authority (ANSA) and Malaysian Standards Authority with the participation of Eng. Zabihullah Ziarmal, director general of ANSA and Mr. Shaharul Sadri Bin Alwi, the department of Standards Malaysia and ANSA’s conformity assessment director.

Eng. Zabihullah Ziarmal provided comprehensive information of the level of activities, goals, current and future plans of ANSA and effective efforts taken to modify and amend legal basis in the field of standardization, national quality infrastructure in the country. He added, that necessary measures have taken to expand laboratory activities in various fields to stabilize the quality of manufactured and imported materials as well as develop, promote and implement standards.

Mr. Shaharul briefed about the activities and functioning area of Malaysian Standards department and stated; the Malaysian Standards department is mostly active the field of accreditation.

At the end, training workshop and list of halal standards was requested by ANSA administration and both side pledge to cooperate and coordinate further.
